From lively BBQs and community gatherings to special guests and familiar faces, AIM’s 90th anniversary celebrations have brought people together throughout the summer and fall.
What began as an opportunity to mark a historic milestone has become a series of memorable moments shared with the employees, customers and communities who are part of AIM’s story.
Taking the celebration on the road
One of the highlights of this anniversary year has been our 90th Anniversary Tour, a series of customer appreciation events hosted at AIM Recycling locations across Québec, Ontario, Atlantic Canada and Maine.
From Dartmouth, Cape Breton and Fredericton in Atlantic Canada to Montréal-Est and communities throughout Québec, the Ottawa region in Ontario and Oakland, Maine, each stop has been an opportunity to welcome customers, reconnect with familiar faces and celebrate together.
The events have taken different forms from one location to another, featuring BBQs, food trucks, refreshments, giveaways and special activities. In Montréal-Est, guests even had the opportunity to meet hockey legend Guy Carbonneau.
While each celebration had its own local character, they all shared the same purpose: to thank the customers and communities who have supported AIM throughout the past 90 years.
The people behind the celebrations
Alongside the customer appreciation events, employee gatherings and BBQs have also been part of the anniversary festivities, offering moments to recognize the dedication and contributions of our teams.
Recently, commemorative 90th Anniversary baseball caps arrived across our network to reward and recognize our 3500+ employees with anniversary sweaters expected to arrive in the coming weeks! These gifts are another way to thank our incredible team for their dedication and hard work that have shaped AIM into the company it is today.
From organizing activities and welcoming visitors to bringing each celebration to life, our employees have played an essential role in making this anniversary memorable.
